This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced developers and learn backend web development using Node.js, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and other exciting technologies. You'll be mentored by senior developers while contributing to real projects that impact our users.
What You'll Do
- Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining backend web applications and APIs
- Collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams, including frontend developers and designers, to build seamless solutions
- Support database design and implementation using MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Write clean, efficient, and documented code under supervision
- Participate actively in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of the development process
- Learn and implement best practices in security, performance, and scalability
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience or internships in web development
- Basic proficiency in Node.js and understanding of frameworks like Express.js
- Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Knowledge of RESTful API principles and JSON
- Understanding of version control systems, primarily Git
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or ongoing studies in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript development practices
- Exposure to cloud services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience or familiarity with Agile methodologies
